Across the River!

Well, it's official! I am excited to announce that I will be serving as team director at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse this coming school year! A team director is both an on-campus missionary and a coach for the other missionaries serving on my campus. The Lord put it on my heart back in February to apply to be a team director and it's been amazing how much He's done in my life in just a couple short months to set things into motion! I will be moving across the Mississippi River to the beautiful town of La Crosse, Wisconsin, which is only about thirty minutes from where I served this year in Winona, MN. La Crosse will be a first-year campus for FOCUS, meaning we are the pioneer missionary team who will start up God's ministry through FOCUS beginning this fall. I'm ecstatic to be on a first-year campus again and help lay the foundation for hopefully many many years!

Last Thursday, I met my other teammates whom I will be coaching and working side-by-side with in the mission fields of La Crosse. They are all very eager and excited to get onto campus and start spreading the good news. All three of them are first-year missionaries, so as one of them put it, we will be like David facing the giant Goliath, but God's faithfulness will always prevail (and David defeated Goliath!) Afterall.... God has a habit of choosing people from humble beginnings and doing wonderful things in and through them.

Please pray for my team as we strengthen our team relationship these next four weeks during FOCUS new staff training and as they begin fundraising their salaries! Below is a picture of Team UW-La Crosse on the night they received their placements.
